We have been awarded the prestigious “Spirit of Hope Award” by the United States Marine Corps for 2021. DPSG was the sole winner for the entire United States Marine Corps. This is a great honor and is a direct result of all the skills, time and money that have been selflessly given by our supporters, both in the local community and nationwide.
The Spirit of Hope is a United States military award which has been presented by the Department of Defense since 1997. The award was created as a result of the contributions of entertainer Bob Hope to members of the military. It is annually awarded to individuals or organizations whose work benefits the quality of life of service members and their families. Each branch of the Military, plus the Department of Defense, can nominate entities to receive the award every year. We want to thank former 5th Marine Regiment Commander, Col. Rob Weiler, USMC for nominating us for this great honor.
