Dear Friends and Patriots:
We invite you to be part of something truly meaningful—a lasting tribute to the brave men and women who serve our nation and the families who stand beside them.
 
After years of planning and collaboration with the City of Dana Point, we are proud to introduce an inspiring new project in the heart of Dana Point’s Heritage Park on Old Golden Lantern. With the city’s financial commitment to significant renovations to the park, it will ensure this tribute is a place of beauty, reflection, and pride for generations to come.
 
The Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group (DP5MRSG) is fundraising for the commission of Returning Home, a powerful bronze sculpture by renowned artist Sutton Betti, to be the focal point of this revitalized space. Set against a striking granite backdrop, this breathtaking piece captures a moment of reunion between a service member and their family when returning from deployment-embodying the strength of family, resilience, and sacrifice not just of our military, but those who love and support them, the “Homefront Heroes.”
 
This monument pays homage to the brave men and women of the United States Marine Corps alongside all branches of the Armed Forces. It stands as a testament to their service and to the unwavering love and commitment of their families.

We are inviting our patriotic community-locally and across the country to be part of this legacy. This is a Call to Action!  We respectfully request your help with the mission of bringing this enduring memorial to Dana Point.

Sponsorships at the monument site will include inscribed pavers, plaques on a “Wall of Honor,” and benches. It’s a chance to honor a veteran, recognize a loved one, or highlight a business that supports our military community while supporting a legacy of service.  In addition, acknowledgment will appear on our website, in printed publications, and at community events.
