Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group History of Dana Point Adoption - Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group

Though the City of Dana Point adopted the 5^th Marine Regiment in 2004, it was not until our Outreach efforts gained momentum that our Organization became formalized assembling a well-qualified Board of Directors and incorporating with Tax Exempt status in late 2007 and early 2008. The Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group is a Tax-Exempt, Qualified 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.

Our heart-felt and compelling missions are:

Helping our Wounded Heroes by being part of the solution for those who have sacrificed so much. Sponsor opportunities for our wounded to reclaim their lives through the mastery of athletics to build confidence and self- esteem.

Paying tribute to our Fallen and helping the families cope with the loss of their loved one. Making sure our Fallen Heroes are “Never Forgotten.”

Assist our Marines, Sailors, our Wounded and families whether deployed or stateside.

Assist our transitioning Marines as they leave the Corps and are trying to assimilate into civilian life with mentoring, training, and hiring.

In terms of execution relative to our mission, Generals and Colonels alike across the Marine Corps have called DPMRSG the “Gold Standard” of support organizations. We are top notch at fundraising and utilizing the funds from our generous community to do meaningful work on behalf of our Marines, Sailors, our Wounded and families who so richly deserve the very best.
